Answers to common questions about installing NotePulse, using SoundFonts, Core and Advanced licensing, and creative tools.
Frequently asked questions.
What does the seven-day trial include?
The app trial includes NotePulse Core and Advanced features for seven days; it does not defer billing if you choose to purchase a Stripe subscription before the trial ends. An internet connection is required to register and periodically validate the trial. The app can be used during a valid trial without purchasing a license key.
Do I need to install a SoundFont?
For synthesized MIDI audio, select a compatible SF2 SoundFont. Default lightweight installers do not include large SoundFont libraries. MIDI visualization is separate from SoundFont audio playback.
What happens if I cancel Advanced?
Your active perpetual Core license remains yours. Advanced-only features require an active Advanced subscription. Canceling ends future renewals, and Advanced access ends when the paid subscription period ends, subject to the final licensing policy. Ending Advanced does not cancel Core.
Can I use one Core license on Windows and Mac?
Each Core license supports one activated Windows installation and one activated macOS installation. Working devices can be deactivated in NotePulse; unavailable or lost devices require an administrator-assisted slot reset.
Does NotePulse need internet access?
Online connectivity is required for trial registration, activation, and periodic validation. After a successful validation, an authorization grace period of up to 15 minutes is supported offline. AI providers require their own internet connectivity.
Does Advanced include AI image or video credits?
No. The Visual Story tools can connect to supported AI providers using credentials you configure. Provider usage is billed separately by those services and may vary by task.
Can NotePulse recognize sheet music from a PDF?
Score recognition from PDF or image sources uses an optional local optical music recognition engine, such as Audiveris. The quality of recognized notation depends on the original source. MusicXML and related score workflows are available through Sheet Music Manager.
How do I purchase NotePulse Core only?
Open Plans & Pricing and select the secure Core checkout when purchasing is available. Stripe processes payment. NotePulse verifies the completed purchase and manually issues your perpetual Core license key to your checkout email.
Will Stripe immediately email me my license key?
No. Stripe sends payment confirmation, while NotePulse separately verifies the purchase and manually delivers the Core key and any purchased Advanced entitlement instructions. Please allow time for manual processing and retain your receipt. For help, use the contact information below.
Can I buy Core and Advanced in one checkout?
Yes. Choose Core + Advanced on the plans page. With the $29.99 one-time Core price and $9.99/month Advanced subscription, the initial payment is $39.98 before applicable taxes or discounts. Later renewals include Advanced only at $9.99/month. Licenses and subscription entitlements are issued manually after NotePulse verifies payment. If you already own Core, request an Advanced-only upgrade instead of buying the bundle again.
How do I purchase or cancel Advanced?
You can buy Core + Advanced together from the plans page. If you already own Core, request an Advanced-only upgrade on the pricing page so Core is not charged again. We verify Core ownership before providing a private $9.99/month Advanced-only subscription checkout link. Cancellation does not revoke your perpetual Core license. If a Stripe customer portal is available, it can be accessed from the pricing page.
How do I recover a device activation after losing a computer?
If NotePulse is unavailable on the original computer and you cannot deactivate it within the application, contact NotePulse support for an administrator-assisted device slot reset. A self-service lost-device recovery feature is not currently provided.
